Guntas Bawa

Guntas, currently a year 2 IBDP student at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School, is honored to serve as a Flex Staff for RichMUN XI. After her first ever conference in 2023, Guntas was captivated by the expressive nature of a MUN committee’s debate. From passionately defending PFUDOR to the very end as the Delegate of Quackraine in traditional ECOSOC, to orchestrating top-secret mafia balls as a 62-year-old retired Mafia boss in quirky WCC, Guntas has experienced the full spectrum of Model UN’s unpredictable, exhilarating debates. For her, these moments that blend strategy and a touch of absurdity are what make MUN irreplaceable compared to ordinary debates. When she’s not navigating the world of international policy (or duck-based defense strategies), Guntas may be found daydreaming of bubble tea or playing jazz tunes on her guitar—her two favorite escapes from the grueling demands of the IBDP. Overall, Guntas hopes to make RichMUN XI a memorable iteration filled with fruitful debate for all!
