Marie Harmsworth

An 11th grader at Lord Byng Secondary School in Vancouver, Marie is elated to be serving as the Assistant Director of the European Union at RichMUN XI. Ever since being forced into her first committee session in 2023 as rather quiet delegate, Marie has developed a passion for the vibrant debate, violent table banging, and chaotic crisis sessions found within the committee room. Over the years, she has spent innumerable hours passing notes, obsessing over every MUN sticker, and cramming position papers. From scheming invasions for delegates in other committees, to negotiating in French at 2am, to partaking in an Inside Out mafia, Marie has cultivated a collection of fond memories from her time in MUN which she will cherish for years to come. Now as an experienced delegate, Marie looks forward to creating a thrilling committee room experience for all delegates wishing to enjoy a weekend of riveting debate. Outside of the committee room, Marie can be found trying out new coffee shops, partaking in the randomest activities because why not, or fleeing Vancouver to explore new cities. Additionally, she also spends an unspeakable amount of time throwing frisbees in hopes of the “perfect throw”. Marie sincerely hopes that RichMUN XI will offer a host of exhilarating committee sessions, and create countless unforgettable memories.
